One of the biggest (and most important) differences you’ll find between our Direct Primary Care practice and other traditional family practices is the number of patients we see. In order for doctors to pay background employees to deal with the rules and regulations of government and insurance companies, most family doctors need to have 2000-3000 patients in their practice in order to see the 20-30 patients per day needed to cover the costs of those billers, coders and "compliance experts". Direct Primary Care, with simple automatic monthly billing (like you might pay your cable or cell phone bill) allows a clinic to run with just a doctor and a nurse. Eliminating the extra insurance-related costs, we can spend 90-95% of our time taking care of 500-600 patients.
