Kick off National Estuary Week at the Stillwaters booth at the Kingston Public Market. Learn more about the events planned to Celebrate Kings-Town in the coming week, and about our own local treasure, the Carpenter Creek Estuary. This magical expanse that runs underneath South & West Kingston Roads can provide habitat for the plant and animal life that support our threatened King Salmon (the main food source of our endangered Southern Resident Orca). See what's being done to restore our estuary, and the little steps you can take to make a positive impact on the Salmon-orca challenge. Kids can pick up their FIND the FISH Passports, walk the Salmon Timeline, engage with a citizen science demonstration, watershed maps & more!
