You are invited to an intergenerational activity...seniors and elementary school-age children planting seeds together. A joint project with the Boys and Girls Club, seniors and kids will experience growing gardens together. We'll provide the sees, soil and pots---and seniors will help the kids plant the seeds. The seedlings will be cared for the children in the Boys and Girls Club until May, when all will come together again, to plant them into the raised garden bed in front of the Summit Room. There, they can be watered and cared for by everyone. The children will learn how to grow a garden. Seeds will include flowers as well as fruits and veggies. Future projects may include cooking and eating the produce from the garden. Free to attend. Donations of seeds, soil and pots gratefully accepted.
